4 things I did every day to hold my first conversation
I’m easily distracted. That’s why I like to keep things very simple or else I’ll lose focus.
When it comes to learning Chinese, I simplified my study plan to 4 things.
The 4 things that I did every day to hold my first conversation in Chinese:
Listen actively 10-20 minutes
Learn 1 phrase or word deeply
Practice speaking 5-30 minutes
Listen passively 1-2 hours
I call these my 4 Daily Fundamentals. And I still do them every day.
It takes less than 1 hour of active studying, often times less than 30 minutes.
Some days I don’t have a lot of time. But I still try to spend a few minutes on each.
But I know if I doing these 4 things consistently every day, even for a few minutes, I will improve.
Because when I do these 4 things consistently, I notice massive improvements in my listening comprehension, speaking and motivation.
When I don’t do these 4 things, my listening comprehension degrades, I become less confident at speaking and my motivation plumets.
The truth is, it's very simple to do, but it can be tricky to implement at first.
What should I listen to?
What phrases should I focus on?
How do I learn words deeply?
How should I practice speaking?
That’s why this is one of the first things I help learners implement into their study plan inside Chinese Speakers.
I help them 1-1 simplify their study plan so learning is simple and the path to getting conversational is easy to follow.
Our goal is simple: help them talk to Chinese speakers with confidence.
It’s easy to get started for just $100 (I can only handle 3 more learners).
We’re closing admission today. If you want to join, the time is now.
If you me to help you simplify your path to speaking Chinese, reply “simplify" and I'll send you the details.
